
Beets are one of those vegetables I am just now figuring out. I made this beet smoothie in 2023, and it’s truly perfect, but this time we will toss some chia seeds into the mix.
If you’ve ever had beets, then you know that earthy taste is hard to diminish, but hahaha, my friend, I figured it out. The sweetness from the strawberries and the tartness of the cranberries mix perfectly with the beets for a well-balanced smoothie with tons of health benefits.
Alright, let’s get right into the ingredients
Beets
Fresh or Pre-packaged Beets (I like the ones from Trader Joe’s or fresh beets from my local market).
Strawberries
Fresh strawberries or frozen work just fine. If you haven’t begun freezing your berries, get to it, friend!
Cranberries
Fresh cranberries in season are the best. So, October and December are the best times to make this smoothie combination.
Water + Chia Seeds
Soak 1 Tbsp of chia seeds in water for 15-20 minutes, then pour it in and blend!
