Looking for an on-the-go changing mat that you can disinfect super quick? Check out my new video that shows you how to create your own.
Supplies
***I purchased most of the supplies from my local Joann’s fabric store.***
- Fabric
- Vinyl
- Scissors
- Brother sewing machine or needle & thread
- Wonder clips or Pins
- Velcro
Step 1: Gather all of your supplies
Step 2: Measure the vinyl and fabric out to 17 by 23 inches.
Step 3: Cut out two pieces of the baby shark fabric and one piece vinyl.
Step 4: Clip or pin the fabric together.
**Important** Make sure the two right sides of the fabric are facing one another and then proceed to sew on the wrong side of the fabric. Leave a small opening, so you can pull the right side of the fabric back out. It’s just like making a pillow!
Step 5. Close the seam on the right side of the fabric.
Step 6. Place and clip your vinyl on the top of the changing mat.
Step 7. Sew around the edge of the changing mat with a matching thread color or invisible thread.
Step 8. Add industrial-strength adhesive velcro to the outside of the mat and then you’re done. Close up the changing mat and go!
