Though it’s not quite the first day of summer, I must tell you that I’ve been doing all the summer things! From road-tripping to running up and down the tennis court, I’m truly snatching up this summer season and making it my own.
Let me rewind a little bit. April 5th was my last entry with a monthly recap, so I’m about ten weeks behind sharing what’s been happening in my neck of the woods. Here’s a little update.
π WeddinG bells for the Hill’s π
I strutted my stuff down the aisle as the matron of honor for my sister-in-law! She was such a beautiful bride, and I’m so thankful that I was able to share in their wonderful day. If you want to wish them a happy life together, feel free to comment on their lovely pictures here.

π΄ Shared my Childhood Greenhouse with Eli π²
The Rockefeller Greenhouse blessed my life so much as a growing kid. I grew up right across the street from this 1902 Greenhouse that made life a little bit sweeter with its flowers, koi pond, and yearly Santa Claus party. As I walked through the glass doors, I was instantly hit with the nostalgic smell of the water dew dancing up my nostrils, but this time I wasn’t alone. I was able to watch as my son ran through to explore every inch of it. It was almost like time traveling back and sharing a piece of me. We laughed, danced, and made silly videos, but most of all, we created new memories together.

π Year number 9 π
We celebrated year nine with a run-kick into King’s Dominion Amusement Park. If you know me, then you know I love a good rollercoaster because, um, screaming is healthy, lol. We did get caught in the rain, but it didn’t deter us from riding the newest ride, Rapterra, twice! For all my rollercoaster enthusiasts, it’s a 10/10, like foreal! I also checked out the National African American Museum, and though I cried a lot, I left with a deep respect for all the people who endured and fought against slavery.

Sidenote: As you can see, I’m in love with this blue set. Grab it and thank me later! It’s so comfy.
π©πΎβπ³ Cooking new cuisines β²οΈ
If you follow my social media accounts, then you know that I like to cook it up in the kitchen. Lately, I’ve been exploring Mediterranean foods, making spices, and playing around with smoothie recipes. Next blog, I’ll start sharing some of my favorite recipes that our family is loving right now. Here’s a picture of us making banana ice cream using the Vitamix!

βπ½ Making room to draw again π¨
Drawing is something that I absolutely love doing, but sometimes it’s so hard for me to steal moments away to get that focus time in. Here’s a sneak peek at a sketch I created using a Wacom tablet and Photoshop. I’m still learning how to draw in Photoshop, but every time I pop on, I see little, small improvements. Oh, and here’s an analog drawing that I did off the brain using some pastels. Blending is not the easiest, but it’s a fun medium for getting the kids to create art.

Okay, I have more life updated than I thought, sooo I’ll save some for next time. Let’s wrap today up with my favorite things!
π Dani’s Five Favorite Things ποΈ

My sister told me about these for our son, and we’ve been loving them!
If you want to stay hydrated on top of your regular water intake, try these out!

Now, I’m not a big fan person, but if you like a white noise machine
or you love a cool room, this is the perfect fan with equal noise and air blasting you at level three.
We liked it so much that we have two!

I looked at my wardrobe and realized that I had zero simple T-shirts!
This is a good set, and the shirts don’t feel cheap, which is always a plus coming from Amazon.

Who wouldn’t want to get four loofahs for the price of one at Walmart?
Yeah, hop on these if you’re a loofah lover or have guests visiting often.

There’s nothing like not being able to charge your from when you see that low-battery icon pop up, save yourself some trouble and add to your summer bag.
