Don’t you just love a good ol’ pair of abstract earrings? I don’t always wear earrings, but when I do, I notice a change in my look from head to toe! I feel more ✨stylish✨

For starters, I’m totally in love with this new pattern. My goal was to create something I don’t usually see for beading looms. If you do a quick google search, you will find a lot of bracelets but very few earrings.

These are my first pair of beaded earrings, but in the past, I’ve made earrings using other materials like clay, wire, and gemstones.

What I like the most about these earrings is the shimmer from the gold Miyuki beads. When they catch the light, it causes the earrings to shine from different angles.

I would say that beading on a loom is generally relaxing, but the finishing process can be a little time-consuming. This pattern has only 14 warp threads on each side, but wait until you see my 80s cassette player pattern. It has 28 warp threads!

There are several ways to finish a loom project, so just know that you don’t have to weave in each thread. Do whatever works for you.

Here are a few additional photos of the weaving process. I think next time I will try the “pull through” method to see if that helps me save time.

Adding the post jewelry finding was a last-minute idea, but it worked out great. If you don’t have E9000, hot glue can work just fine but work quickly!
