Want to create a wood backdrop without breaking the bank? Well, you’re in luck! This blog project is easy peasy, and you only need a handful of materials to get going. Alright, Let’s start!
Supplies:
White Acrylic Paint
Roller Brush
Disposable Palette Paper or Wax Paper
Wood Plaque
I purchased my DecoArt products from Joann’s and my wood plaque from Micheals. If you don’t have the exact products, don’t worry about it. Feel free to use what you have around the house.
Instructions
Step 1.
Take your white acrylic paint and squeeze a generous amount onto your disposable paint palette. You can also use wax paper as an alternative.
Step 2.
Grab your paint roller and start rolling over the paint until you’ve picked up a fair amount. Isn’t this part peaceful?
Once you’ve loaded a fair amount of paint onto your roller, you can begin to paint! Be sure to add some newspaper underneath to catch any paint spills. I’m worked on top of a plastic backdrop, so I didn’t need to add any additional barriers.
Step 3.
Paint three coats on top of the wood using the acrylic paint of your choice. The DecoArt paint dried evenly, so I am pleased with this product!
Step 3.
Let your it dry for 24 hours, and then start using it to showcase your art or business products! I captured the photos below using my Iphone 11 Max. You can’t even tell that the plaque was originally brown, lol!
✨ Look how awesome this looks! ✨
